B&B Veterans Advocates is an Australian DVA (Department of Veterans' Affairs) claims advocacy service founded and run by veterans, for veterans. Based in Brisbane, the business was established by Kai and Damon following their own difficult personal experiences navigating the DVA claims process, and a shared frustration with the lack of quality support available to veterans at the time.
The service guides Australian veterans through the entire DVA compensation claims process from start to finish. Each client is assigned a dedicated advocate who gets to know them personally, their service history, and the injuries or illnesses they are dealing with. From there, the team handles all paperwork, liaises directly with DVA, connects clients with specialist GPs and medical providers, and follows up on claim progress throughout the process.
Beyond new claims, B&B also assists veterans who wish to reassess previous claims where conditions have changed or worsened over time, as well as those whose claims have been denied and wish to challenge the outcome.
What sets B&B apart from free advocacy services is the level of personalised, ongoing support on offer. Clients have direct access to their advocate whenever needed, rather than dealing with long wait times or having to re-explain their situation to different people.
